Community & Consumer Empowerment - Free Resource
This current moment in time is riddled with grief, trauma, uncertainty and more moments of both perceived and real threats than we can truly process. While there are a thousand things I want to say — or scream — to help us all process and heal from what is happening, we’re not yet at a place where we can even make sense of everything we have to, and will have to, process through.
That said, what we can do is harness the power we have as the collective — as the people — to ensure that our voices are heard, our power is felt, and we’re moving through the moment with purpose and intention. Our money matters; where we keep it, how we manage it, and how we spend it are key and critical bricks to resistance and to the public and undeniable truth of our power.
While blog posts are meant to be a place to share, longer form, most of the day to day updates and evolving calls to action and resourcing are going to be on The Session Series’ and Fuel Sweat Grow social accounts for ease and also accessibility. This also allows me to share more perspectives, evolving news and resources more effectively and through an easier channel for broad reach.
Today I’m posting this foundational document on Community and Consumer empowerment as an [incomplete] yet fairly comprehensive starter resource for those who are looking for ways to use and experience their own power, and develop research backed, supported, and meaningful ways to have a voice through daily conscious actions.
This in no way replaces therapeutic resourcing and practices to support ourselves fully during this time — but hopefully it can help support purpose and connection as foundational tenants of resistance, and mental health and embodiment.
The only other thing to say in this moment is this: I see you, I hear you, I love you, and I stand with and for you. If we all do this for and with each other, the power will be so much louder than the currently deafening silence of morality across too many spaces. So lets get f*cking loud.
